Free Resources · ABRSM Aligned

Free piano resources, written by conservatoire-trained teachers.

Practice plans, scale guides and beginner notes. Every resource is free. Pop your email in once and the PDFs land in your inbox.

We made these because the reference material most piano students actually need either sits behind a paywall or in a 1990s-looking PDF on a teacher’s long-forgotten WordPress site. Neither is good enough.

Why these are free

Good reference material should not be paywalled.

Scales, fingerings and the basics of practice routine are not premium content. They are the bare minimum a piano student needs in front of them on the music stand. Charging for them, or asking for an email in exchange for them, is the kind of friction that puts people off learning the instrument.

We make a living by teaching the piano well. The free resources here are one of the ways we introduce ourselves. If they help you, that is the entire purpose. If you ever want a real lesson, you know where we are.

Who wrote them

Piano with Norbert

A two-teacher studio in Harrow, London. Norbert Steczkowski trained at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and has performed at the Royal Albert Hall. Declan Rafton is a BIMM London graduate with over ten years of teaching experience.

Over 90 per cent of our students pass ABRSM, Trinity and RSL exams with merit or distinction. We enter students when they are ready, not when the calendar says so.
