Piano with Norbert offers private piano tuition across Pinner and the HA5 postcode for children and adults. Our teachers are conservatoire-trained, DBS-checked, and work as active musicians as well as teachers. Lessons are friendly and properly structured. We work with absolute beginners, students preparing for ABRSM and Trinity grades, GCSE and A-Level music students, and adult learners who are starting fresh or returning to the keyboard after years away.
Why Pinner families choose Piano with Norbert
Pinner is one of north-west London's most musically engaged communities. Parents take their children's musical education seriously, and we teach to that standard. Every teacher on our roster trained at a recognised UK conservatoire, Royal Academy of Music, Trinity Laban, BIMM London, or equivalent. Every teacher is DBS-checked. The result is teaching that has the technical rigour parents expect with the warmth that keeps children engaged from one lesson to the next.

Who our Pinner students are
We teach four-year-olds at the very start of their musical journey, primary and secondary school students working towards ABRSM and Trinity grades, GCSE and A-Level music students, and adult learners. Late starters are particularly welcome. Some of our most rewarding teaching happens with adults who were told as a child they were not musical and discover within a few weeks that they very much are.
Travel to Pinner from our HA2 base
Pinner sits roughly a mile from our base in HA2, so home visits across HA5 are straightforward. Typical home-lesson areas are Pinner Green, the North Harrow side, Pinner village, and the Hatch End fringe. For families who prefer the studio, it is a short drive or one stop on the Metropolitan line. We also teach fully online for weeks when illness or travel makes home tuition impractical.
Lesson formats and pricing
We offer thirty-minute, forty-five-minute, and sixty-minute lesson slots. Most beginners and younger children start at thirty minutes and progress to longer sessions as their concentration and repertoire develop. Full pricing, including monthly and termly blocks, is on the Lessons and Fees page. The trial lesson is set up to let you meet a teacher and see how the chemistry feels before committing to a regular slot.
