Grow with us long term

We are looking for one person to grow with us, with real room to take on more as the school expands.

Genuinely supported

A close, friendly team, teaching resources, and a founder who has your back. You are never on your own.

What we are looking for

We keep the bar high because our families trust us. Here is what matters, and just as honestly, who this is not for.

Grade 8 piano or above

Our one firm requirement. Teaching experience is welcome but not essential, we happily train the right player.

A warm, fun personality

Students stay with teachers they love. We choose as much for warmth and reliability as for technical skill.

Enhanced DBS check

Required before teaching, as you will be working with children. We will guide you through getting one.

Happy to travel

Most lessons are in students' homes across Harrow and the HA postcodes, so being able to get around matters.

This probably is not the role for you if…

you cannot yet play to Grade 8 standard, you are only after occasional one-off work, or you would rather not travel to students’ homes. We are looking for one committed teacher to build something with us for the long term, and we would genuinely love it to be you if that sounds right.

Piano teacher jobs: your questions answered

Do I need teaching experience to apply?

+
No. Teaching experience is welcome but not required, we are happy to train the right person. Our one firm requirement is that you play to Grade 8 standard or above, with genuine warmth and reliability. Many of our best teachers started with strong playing and a love of people, and learned our teaching approach with us.

How and when are teachers paid?

+
You are paid monthly for the students you teach. We handle all the invoicing and collecting, so you never have to chase a payment, and we will go through the full details with you personally when we meet.

Is this employed or self-employed work?

+
It is self-employed (contractor) work, so you handle your own tax and set your own availability. That gives you real flexibility over your days and hours, while we provide the students, the admin and the support behind you.

Where would I be teaching?

+
Mostly in students' homes across Harrow and north-west London (HA1 to HA8 and nearby), on the days and areas that suit you. Some lessons can also take place at our Harrow studio or online. We do our best to cluster your students geographically so your travel stays efficient.

Do I need a car?

+
Because most lessons are in students' homes, driving makes the role much easier and lets you take on more students. It is not an absolute must, but being able to travel around Harrow and the surrounding HA postcodes is important.

Do I need a DBS check?

+
Yes. An enhanced DBS check is required before you teach, as you will be working with children. If you do not have one yet, that is fine, we will guide you through getting one.

Do you provide the students, or do I find my own?

+
We provide the students. There is no marketing to do, no admin to chase and no payments to collect. We handle all of that so you can focus entirely on teaching well.

What hours would I work?

+
You set your own availability. In practice most lessons fall after school on weekday evenings and at weekends, since that is when students are free. You can teach part-time around other work or build a full roster, it is up to you.

Is there room to grow?

+
Yes. We are a growing school and we are genuinely looking for someone to grow with us for the long term, someone who could take on more responsibility as we expand. This is more than a lesson-by-lesson gig.

How do I apply for a piano teaching job?
