Why Eastcote families choose us

Eastcote sits in a triangle between Pinner, Northwood and Ruislip, all areas where families take music education seriously. Our students typically start somewhere between Grade 1 and Grade 5 either as new beginners or as returning learners, and a meaningful proportion go on to Grades 6 to 8 with us. We also support students preparing for school music scholarship rounds, GCSE and A-Level performance work, and university and conservatoire auditions when students reach that stage.

How lessons work

After your trial lesson, we agree a regular weekly slot and a starting lesson length. Beginners and younger children typically start at 30 minutes; older students and adults usually settle at 45 or 60. Lessons are paid monthly or termly with a clear written cancellation policy. Practice is the single biggest predictor of progress and we are honest about that, but we will never set practice expectations that feel punishing rather than achievable.

Frequently asked questions

Do you travel to Eastcote for in-home lessons?

Yes. Eastcote is a short journey from our studio. We travel for a modest location-based fee. The closer your address is to HA2, the smaller the fee.

Do you teach jazz and pop in Eastcote?

Yes. Declan Rafton, our BIMM-trained teacher, specialises in blues, rock, jazz and pop. He takes students from beginner through to advanced, with a focus on chord-based playing rather than purely classical notation.

How young can my child start?

We have taught children as young as four. Readiness varies more than age does. What matters most is whether your child can sit and focus for around 20 minutes and shows curiosity around the instrument. We will happily advise after a trial lesson.

Are there evening or weekend slots available?

Yes. Most of our Eastcote teaching happens after school and on Saturday mornings. Slot availability does vary week to week, so it is worth enquiring early if you have specific time requirements.
