The trial in detail

What happens during your trial

  • 30-minute one-to-one lesson with Norbert (Trinity Laban) or Declan (BIMM London)
  • Honest assessment of your current level (or your child's)
  • A personalised plan for the next 4 lessons, written for you
  • Zero pressure. If we're not the right fit, we say so.

Fully refundable. If the trial is not the right fit, we refund the £10 in full. No questions, no awkward emails. The promise is yours, not ours to enforce.

After the trial, lessons stay flexible. Weekly, no long contract, at our studio or your home.

“Thirty minutes at the piano with whoever’s the best fit for what you want to play.”— Norbert

What our happy parents and students say

Honest answers

The questions worth answering before you book

At what age can my child start piano lessons?

+
From four years old. What matters more than age is whether your child can sit and focus for around 20 minutes. We will tell you honestly after the trial whether the timing is right.

How quickly will I see real progress?

+
Most beginners play their first real piece within two or three lessons. By the end of a first year of weekly tuition, many are ready to sit ABRSM, Trinity or RSL Grade 1.

Do you prepare students for ABRSM, Trinity and RSL exams?

+
Yes, all three. ABRSM and Trinity for classical and theory, RSL for the rock and pop syllabus. We enter students only when they are ready, so they tend to pass with merit or distinction.

Do you offer in-home lessons across Harrow?

+
Yes. We travel across HA1 to HA8 (Harrow, Pinner, Stanmore, Northwood, Wealdstone, Hatch End, Kenton, Rayners Lane, Eastcote, Ruislip, Edgware) for a small location-based fee.

What if my child has tried piano lessons before and quit?

+
Most piano students quit within six months because lessons feel like a chore. Here, the lessons are built around music your child actually wants to play, paced so that progress feels real, with a teacher who genuinely listens.

I'm an adult who hasn't played in years. Will the trial work for me?

+
Yes. About a third of the students we teach are adults, either complete beginners or returners who put the piano down at Grade 3 or 5 and want back in. The trial is the same format and the same price. The plan we send afterwards is written for where you actually are, not where you remember being.
