Piano with Norbert teaches families across North Harrow from our home base on the HA2 side. Our studio is a short walk from North Harrow village, with a Yamaha grand and a quiet teaching room. We also travel to students at home across the surrounding streets. Lessons are weekly, paid in monthly or termly blocks, and built around what the student actually wants to play. Beginners are welcome and make up the bulk of the roster, alongside grade-level exam students and adult learners.
A studio on your doorstep
North Harrow sits a few minutes from our HA2 base, which makes regular weekly lessons genuinely practical for families here. Many of our North Harrow students walk in, others come by car, and a growing number have lessons at home. For working parents the in-home option means no extra journey at the end of a school day. For families who prefer the focus of a teaching room with a grand piano, the studio sits a few streets away from North Harrow station.

How lessons run
Most younger children start with thirty-minute weekly lessons. Older children and adults usually settle into forty-five or sixty minutes. The trial lesson is the same length as a regular lesson at a reduced rate. After the trial we agree a regular time slot and a sensible block length, and we set practice expectations together. For children that means short daily practice, often ten to twenty minutes, building gradually. For adults the same principle applies, paced to a busy week.
Exam preparation
Our North Harrow students sit ABRSM, Trinity, and RSL exams regularly, and the success rate is high because we only enter a student when they are properly ready. Preparation runs through pieces, scales, sight reading, aural, and theory in the right balance for the student and the board. We submit the entry on your behalf, brief you on logistics on the day, and run mock exam sittings in the studio in the final weeks.
