Piano with Norbert teaches across Rayners Lane and the surrounding HA5 area. Our studio is a short drive away on the South Harrow side, and we also travel for home lessons across Rayners Lane. The community here is diverse and family-rich, and our roster reflects that. Beginners, exam-track students, and adult learners all study with us. The teaching is warm, properly structured, and built around what the student wants to learn.

A welcoming local studio

Many of our Rayners Lane students walk into the studio after school or come by car for a Saturday morning lesson. The teaching room is quiet, the instrument is properly maintained, and lessons begin and end on time. For families on the Rayners Lane side, the studio is a few minutes away. Home lessons are also available, with travel fees that vary by exact postcode.

How lessons work

Lessons are weekly. Younger children usually start with thirty-minute slots, older children and adults with forty-five or sixty minutes. Lessons are paid in monthly or termly blocks with a clear cancellation policy. We agree practice expectations together. For young children that means short daily practice of ten to fifteen minutes, scaling up as the music becomes more demanding.

ABRSM, Trinity, and RSL exam preparation

Rayners Lane students sit graded exams with us regularly. Preparation runs through pieces, scales, sight reading, aural, and theory in the right balance for the board. We enter a student only when they are properly ready, which is why our pass rates run high. For RSL Rock and Pop, the same approach applies, with attention to ensemble feel and stylistic understanding as well as the assessed pieces.
