Who we are

Piano with Norbert is a private piano teaching practice based in Harrow, run by Norbert Steczkowski. The studio is at 65 Dorchester Avenue, Harrow, HA2 7AX. You can contact us at pianowithnorbert@gmail.com or on 07896 003916.

What information we collect

• Contact details you provide via the contact form, WhatsApp, phone or email — name, email, phone number, postcode and any message you send us.
• Booking information you provide via the My Music Staff booking widget — name, email, phone, address (if in-home lessons), preferred lesson times and payment information processed by Stripe via My Music Staff.
• Analytics data from visits to this website — which pages you viewed, how you got here, your approximate location (city level) and the device you used. This data is anonymised at IP level.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a trial lesson.
• To deliver lessons you have booked, send reminders and process payments.
• To improve the website and understand which content is helpful to visitors.
• To show you relevant Piano with Norbert ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google when you have given consent for advertising cookies.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies for two reasons:

• Essential cookies that make the site work — for example, the booking widget and form submissions.
• Analytics and advertising cookies from Google (Google Analytics 4) and Meta (Facebook Pixel) — only loaded after you accept our cookie banner. These help us understand which marketing channels bring real students.

You can decline analytics cookies and the site still works normally. You can change your decision any time by clearing your browser cookies for this site.

Who we share data with

• My Music Staff — our booking and lesson-management platform, who process bookings and payments on our behalf.
• Stripe — our payment processor.
• Mailgun — sends transactional emails such as booking confirmations.
• Google and Meta — analytics and advertising platforms, only when you have accepted analytics cookies.
• Vercel — our website hosting provider.

We do not sell your personal data, ever. We only share what each provider needs to do its job.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that did not become lessons: 12 months.
• Active student records: while you are a student plus 7 years (UK tax requirement).
• Anonymous analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, transfer or object to our processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email pianowithnorbert@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner (ico.org.uk) if you think we have mishandled your data.

Children

For students under 13, we collect contact and booking information from a parent or guardian, not the child. Any photos or videos of students used in marketing materials are only published with the written consent of a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. The date at the top shows the most recent revision.
